IMPACT 2030: Mobilising collaboration of corporate volunteers to progress the SDGs

IMPACT2030 is a global, private sector-led effort focused on activating human capital investments through employee volunteer programs to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – established through a unanimous vote in 2015.

“Since 2016, we have been setting up local IMPACT Councils throughout the world to establish collaboration between companies to help solve some of the priority Sustainability Development Goals in each region” Said Chris Jarvis.

It’s great to be down under and having these conversations with the likes of Pfizer, who hosted our first meeting; Johnson & Johnson, SAP, TAL, PWC, Deloitte and Grant Thornton etc and academic partners too. We had 39 participants for our kick off meeting and from this we expect to grow to a Council of about 150-200 members, with an active volunteer executive committee.”

Even if you have not been involved in our first kick-off meeting, we need more Council members. If your organisation has a colleague volunteer program and you would like to collaborate to make an even bigger difference to the SDG’s in Australia through collective efforts, then please share this information among your networks or CSR colleagues.

Event Date: 31st July 2019 | 11am |  Grant Thornton office – Sydney.
