This guide provides universities with practical guidance and examples to accelerate their contributions to SDGs.
To support and empower leadership and greater action by universities and knowledge institutions in addressing the SDGs.
The project both supports Australian university action on the SDGs, and showcases Australian leadership globally.
Universities have a critical role in the implementation of all the SDGs through their teaching, research, operations and community leadership. This Guide provides an overview of how universities and knowledge institutions contribute to the implementation of the SDGs, and provides them with practical guidance, tools, case studies and resources to deepen and accelerate their engagement with the SDGs. The guide was developed by SDSN Australia/Pacific in collaboration with the Australasian Campuses Towards Sustainability (ACTS), the global SDSN, and Australian and New Zealand universities. It is now being used by the university sector all around the world, and has been translated into several languages. SDSN Australia/Pacific is currently working with the global SDSN to make the guide more globally applicable.
