SDG National (Platform/Forum) will gather all the necessary information to answer the questions on Sustainable Development.

Project implemented: June 2018

Project goal

The main objective of the project is to create a platform for discussing sustainable development issues in Australia, allowing people to share their own experiences and make everyone aware of sustainable development goals.
This space will gather all the information needed to answer the various questions on sustainable development.

why is this project important?

Sharing of ideas and experiences on environmental governance.

Obtain concrete propositions on the concerns raised through the different topics addressed in the forum.

A better understanding of how climate change affects the current vulnerabilities and likely to become a new factor in conflicts or climatic migrations.

Key steps to make it happen

1Promote the SDGs

Post events, campaign, training workshops to inform, inspire and engage Australians on SDGs.

2Best practices of SDG

Reporting some examples of best practices of SDG. Take examples from other countries.

SDG National Forum will be an information portal :

 

  • For discussing sustainable development issues in Australia
  • Allowing people to share their own experiences
  • Animated regularly with short videos
  • Finding SDGs recommendations
  • Finding national and international information

 

Highlight the challenges of sustainable development in Australia, and create space for reflection, discussion:

  • Inform and raise awareness about the issues and challenges of sustainable development and its impacts.
  • Exchange knowledge ( scientific and technical information), experiences and anticipation capacities regarding climate change.
  • To think about citizen roles and awakens, national platforms in the development and implementation of land policies and legislation and the governance of natural resources.
